200,000 graduates of the Silesian University of Technology

The Silesian University of Technology educated the 200,000th graduates. The holder of the graduation diploma no. 200,000th is a Bytom graduate of the energy sector with the specialty of modernization of power installations.

Silesian University of Technology educates engineering staff since 1945. In the first year, 2750 students enrolled in four faculties at the Gliwice university. At present, the Silesian University of Technology has 15 faculties located in three cities: Gliwice, Katowice and Zabrze. About 20,000 students and over 600 PhD students are taught at the university.

Students have at their disposal a modern campus and access to over 150 well-equipped laboratories. Today, the Silesian University of Technology offers 60 fields of study and over 200 specialties, both in technical and non-technical fields. Last year, the university expanded its educational activities to include academic high schools in Gliwice and Rybnik.
