Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań to cooperate with the Kitami Institute of Technology

University Adam Mickiewicz in Poznan will cooperate with the Kitami Institute of Technology in Japan. The cooperation agreement was signed by the Vice-Rector for Science and International Cooperation, Prof. Ryszard Naskręcki and the president of the Japanese university Prof. Soichiro Suzuki.

The document provides for joint organization of consultations and reciprocal visits and lectures by representatives of both universities, it also assumes supporting the participation of young scientists in conferences and symposia, facilitating their activities, the exchange of scientists and students, and cooperation in the exchange of publications and scientific information.

Kitami Institute of Technology is the northernmost university in Japan. His main fields of research are agriculture, renewable energy sources, IT and biomaterials. Due to the location of the local scientists, they also study ice, its structure and use.
