ArchaeoBalt project has been launched discovering the heritage of the Baltic Sea region

The University of Gdańsk, the Gdańsk Museum, the University of Aarhus, the Bornholm Museum and the University of Lund are carrying out the ArchaeoBalt project. Due to the project it will be possible to jointly discover the heritage of the Baltic Sea region, hidden under the surface of Denmark, Poland and Sweden.

The project partners will create a network of archaeological centers to disseminate knowledge about archeology and the development of archetourism. The website “Virtual Museum of the South Baltic” will also be created with the most important information on the heritage of the Baltic Sea region.

Thanks to the ArchaeoBalt project, it will be possible to discover the heritage of the Baltic Sea region, hidden under the surface of Denmark, Poland and Sweden through educational events such as festivals, games, lectures and open archaeological research.

The project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund as part of the Interreg South Baltic Program 2014-2020.
