Archaeologists from the Jagiellonian University in Krakow have developed a professional digital guide for southern Jordan. In addition to information about the nature and landscapes of Jordan, users can also read about Polish research in this part of the world.

The http://southernjordanguide.com/ guide is available in Polish, English and Arabic. It was created thanks to the financial support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

Last year Kraków archaeologists discovered a settlement from the Neolithic era located in an inaccessible mountain area, where no one conducted research before (Munqat’s position). In southern Jordan they also excavated stone walls surrounding a large farmstead with commercial and residential rooms (the Faysaliyya in the desert).
