Researchers from the Center for Research on the Antiquity of Southeastern Europe of the University of Warsaw (UW) have completed their excavation season in Albania. Archaeologists continued their work as Shodra-Bushati, where last year they found ruins of an unknown ancient city.

This year, Warsaw researchers discovered successive sections of 3.5 m wide defensive walls made of large blocks of stones and a second entrance gate to the settlement. They also pre-examined the top of the hill above the city, where they discovered a stone platform made of stone blocks.

They also found numerous fragments of Hellenistic pottery, including luxury one, which allow to determine the date of the creation and destruction of the fortifications.
