Archbishop Celestino Migliore to become a doctor honoris causa of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw

On May 28, 2019, during a solemn conference of the Senate of the University of Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński (UKSW) Archbishop Celestino Migliore will be awarded the title of doctor honoris causa of the CSWU.

Archbishop Migliore studied at the Interdepartmental Theological Study in Fossano, where he obtained a master’s degree in theology. He obtained a bachelor’s and PhD degree in canon law at the Pontifical Lateran University in Rome. In 1977 he graduated from the Papal Ecclesiastical Academy, and then began his service in the Vatican diplomacy.

In 2010-2016 he was the apostolic nuncio in Poland and the dean of the diplomatic corps. From 2016 he has been the apostolic nuncio in Russia.
