Students of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology took the third place in the international architectural competition. Their forest meditation cabin allows for deep concentration and it is also ecological.

The competition task was to develop a one-man, year-round house with an area of max. 15 sq m, which could stand in the forest surrounding Lake Bezdibene in Latvia. The cabin is to allow quiet meditation of the nature around and additionally it should be equipped with heating, kitchen and sanitary facilities, water and food supplies for one person.

The design of Karolina Kiełpińska, Marta Lisiakiewicz, Emilia Oworuszko and Aleksandra Białkowska assumes that the construction will be made mostly of wood, but due to its all- season character, the walls have been insulated. The energy for lighting the interior is provided by photovoltaic panels, and the building is heated by a heating oil stove.
