27.11.2018

The Polonium Foundation in cooperation with the Foundation for Polish Science and the Polish Scientific Society in Exile published the report “Unnoticed: Polish scientific diaspora as a source of social capital”.

The report was based on an online survey on a sample of 464 Polish scientists from 31 countries – including the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and France. The aim of the study was to collect information and opinions about the Polish scientific diaspora, relations with the Polish scientific community and the prospects of returning to Poland.

Almost 47 percent Polish scientists working abroad do not intend to return to Poland with 27 percent declaring readiness to return and 26 percent are undecided scholars.
