Center for Medical Simulation officially opened at the Silesian Medical University

29.10.2018

The Medical Simulation Center was officially opened at the Silesian Medical University (SUM). Students can use 7 simulation rooms equipped with the most modern models – including real dental equipment for future dentists.

– The launch of the next Medical Simulation Center is a response to the challenges faced by universities in the era of continuous technological development. I am convinced that this place will meet the expectations of our current students, brought up in the digital world, and also future graduates will be encouraged to study at our University – says the rector of the Medical University of Silesia Prof. Przemysław Jałowiecki.

The SUM, as the first university in Poland, has launched a workshop in the Center to learn comprehensive IT service of the hospital system. This will enable students to acquire skills in the use of IT tools that they will encounter in hospitals and clinics.
