Center for Medical Simulations at the University of Bydgoszcz

05.04.2018

The Collegium Medicum of the University in Bydgoszcz officially opened the new Medical Simulation Center. This completely renovated and equipped facility cost PLN 17 million. Almost 11 million is an EU subsidy, whereas the Ministry of Health offered PLN 6 million.

The Center has well-equipped simulation rooms of high-fidelity with advanced simulators – an intensive care unit, a hospital emergency department, a delivery room, an operating room, an ambulance room and a nursing room.

Low- fidelity simulation rooms use different simulators and models. There are special rooms for teaching technical and surgical skills, for laboratory teaching of clinical skills. There is also a room with a simulated patient to form interpersonal skills between the patient and the medical team, and a computer- teaching spot with virtual patients.
