The Clinical Department of Urology and Oncological Urology and the Clinical Department of Gynecology and Oncology together with the Breast Unit of the University Hospital in Krakow took first place in the national ranking “Hospitals 2018” carried out by the Wprost weekly newsmagazine.

The Clinical Department of Urology and Oncological Urology specializes in uro- oncology. Experts appreciated the work of Prof. Piotr Chłosta and his team in the area of operating patients with advanced renal cancer. The department was also the winner in rankings of urological operations.

– Our experience provide that operations are characterized by a low mortality rate and favorable long-term results, i.e. good results without relapse – says Prof. Piotr Chłosta, head of the Clinical Department of Urology and Oncological Urology of the University Hospital. These results are comparable to the best centers in the world – informs Collegium Medicum of the Jagiellonian University.
