College of Public Administration in Ostrołęka to educate nurses

17.05.2019

The representatives of the nursing self-government and local self-government announce that the School of Public Administration in Ostrołęka will launch a nursing department.

Such a proposal was made during the ceremony on the occasion of the International Day of Nurse and Midwife, which took place on 9 May 2019 in Ostrołęka. The initiator of the project was the vice-president of the Supreme Council of Nurses and Midwives Mariola Łodzińska, who noticed that there is a lack of the department educating nurses and midwives in Ostrołęka. She proposed then that local authorities, taking into account staff shortages, would take care of this staff locally for the needs of the region.

The initiative was accepted by Elżbieta Lanc, a member of the Mazovia Province Board. She announced that together with the mayor of Ostrołęka, Łukasz Kulik, they decided that the local government would take the initiative to launch the department for nurses in Ostrołęka.
