Consortium of Polish universities sorts out fly ash

12.06.2019

The AGH University of Science and Technology (AGH) in Kraków, the Lublin University of Technology and the University of Warsaw joined in the FUNash consortium to develop materials of increased usability, produced on the basis of fly ash.

The materials can be used in construction (cements and biocomponents), agriculture (fertilizers and biofertils) and environmental engineering (sorbents and biopreparations for the remediation of polluted waters, soils and gases).

Six scientific teams will implement the project, and their members will have full access to the scientific and research infrastructure of the entities forming the consortium.

The leader of the consortium is the Lublin University of Technology. The realization of FUNash project is to provide products, services and technologies to various branches of industry. This will be the first comprehensive approach to the using fly ash so far.
