Dardziński: We convince entrepreneurs to do business with science

01.07.2019

– By means of factual arguments, we want to convince entrepreneurs to do business with science. Let companies think what is their future in 10, 20 years and what technology they will need there. We will take care of the rest – said Piotr Dardziński, president of the Łukasiewicz Research Network.

Łukasiewicz Research Network is to support research, which to be commercialized sooner or later, and the distinction between basic and applied research seems theoretical. If we want to develop photonics, we must also conduct basic research, and if we deal with big data we need to employ good mathematics theorists – explains Dardziński.

The recipients of the Łukasiewicz Network offer are primarily Polish companies, but there have recently been meetings with the American biotechnology company Amgen and such potentates as Volkswagen, Ikea or Google.
