Auscultation of the patient’s lungs is one of the most frequently performed examinations in doctors’ offices, but it requires so-called expert’s ear. The MyWhizzy.com company from Poznań decided to provide this skill with artificial intelligence.
As a result, the electronic stethoscope
StethoMe was created, which can be used at home, for example, by parents of children. It is enough to put the device to little patient’s chest to realize if your toddler’s coughing requires physician intervention. StethoMe also measures body temperature and operates with a mobile application on the smartphone. It can also be used to monitor such chronic respiratory diseases as asthma.
The research of the electronic stethoscope was carried out in cooperation with the Medical University of Poznan and the Institute of Acoustics of the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznan.
