Members of the Conference of Rectors in Coimbra in Portugal signed an agreement on the Dual Career program for student athletes. The new regulations are to improve developing their scientific and sports careers.

The agreement, signed by the rectors of European universities and the European University Sports Association, aims at higher education institutions to help students develop their scientific and sports careers. The main assumptions are: providing students with the possibility of pursuing a dual career, adjusting the regulations to provide the opportunity to study and train, promoting the best conditions for training, providing them with the best trainers and the access to the best educational and health offer.

The agreement was signed during the largest European university sport event – The European Universities Games Coimbra 2018.
