Faculty of Biotechnology of the University of Wroclaw to hold lectures on vaccination

The Faculty of Biotechnology of the University of Wrocław invites participants to a series of lectures on vaccination. During the lectures will be discussed the mechanism of immunization and the formation of immunological memory, the risks of giving up vaccination, the most important facts will be given and the myths about vaccination will be explained.

The lectures are open, they will be held on Saturdays at 9:30 and last 45 minutes. The first meeting – “Introduction to immunology” – is scheduled for October 27. During the lecture, Dr. Zdzisław Wróblewski will acquaint students with the basics of immunological knowledge, which are based on vaccination.

The organizers announce the presentation of the concepts of antigen and antibodies, cells of the human immune system, as well as the methods of natural acquisition of immunity. The lecturer will also talk about immunological memory and individual immunity as well as population resistance and its importance for the health of the society.
