Five young scientists from the University of Gdańsk receive START scholarships

Five scientists from the University of Gdańsk received START scholarships for the most talented young Polish scientists. This is the 27th scholarship contest organized by the Foundation for Polish Science.

The annual scholarships of 28,000 PLN were received by: Dr Eng. Beata Bajorowicz from the Faculty of Chemistry in the field of material engineering; Dr Marcin Czapla from the chemistry department in the field of chemistry; Weronika Grochowska, from the history department in the field of art history; Aleksandra Mańkowska from the faculty of social sciences in the field of psychology and Dr Alicja Mikołajczyk from the department of chemistry in the field of chemistry.

The scholarship winners were selected in a competition from among 899 candidates. The five winners bring the Gdańsk university the fourth place in Poland in terms of the number of START scholarship holders.
