Dr Caterina Tarlazzi, historian of medieval philosophy from the University of Geneva, received the Leszek Kołakowski Honorary Scholarship granted by the Foundation for Polish Science.

– Receiving the prize named after Leszek Kołakowski, outstanding thinker of the 20th century, is a great honor for me. This award will surely strengthen my cooperation with the Polish scientific community – said Dr. Caterina Tarlazzi during the ceremony of presenting the scholarship.

Dr Caterina Tarlazzi holds the title of Doctor Europaeus, jointly awarded by the Università degli Studi di Padova in Italy and the Université Paris IV Sorbonne in France. Since 2017 she has been working at the University of Geneva.

The aim of the scholarship is to honor scholars who already at the beginning of their academic career can boast of outstanding scientific achievements in the history of medieval and modern ideas and philosophy until 1939.
