Fraunhofer Design Center opened at the Opole University of Technology

The Fraunhofer Design Center for Advanced Light Technologies (FPC ALighT) was officially opened at the Opole University of Technology. This is the first in Poland branch of one of the most important institutions supporting industry and implementing new technological solutions.

The center will deal with “slimming” materials used in automotive, aviation and civil engineering as well as issues related to coal processing, railway and metal industry and electromobility. The partner of the Opole University of Technology in the project is the Science and Technology Park in Opole.

The guest of the event was Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Science and Higher Education Jarosław Gowin, who supported the project from the beginning. – The opening of the Center is a historic day for the Opole University of Technology, but also for the entire Polish science and economy. I am happy about this as a Pole and a European – said the minister.
