Gdańsk University of Technology opens a new auditorium and laboratories

An auditorium with multimedia equipment, modern laboratories and special laboratories for corrosion research were ceremonially opened at the Gdańsk University of Technology in the extended and reconstructed building “Chemia C”.

The building includes an auditorium with multimedia equipment for 135 persons, and laboratories: Energy Processing Technology; Surface Survey; Molecular Biology and Renewable Energy Sources, as well as a laboratory for classes about corrosion protection technology and electroplating as well as a laboratory for corrosion tests.

The building is accessible to people with mobility disabilities. There are students’ own workplaces, a cloakroom and a student bar. The value of the project, co-financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund as part of the Regional Operational Program for the Pomorskie Voivodeship, is almost PLN 11.5 million.
