Graduate of psychology of the University of Warsaw receives the literary Nobel

On 9 and 10 December, the University of Warsaw (UW) launched the action “UW congratulates Olga Tokarczuk”. Members of the University academic community congratulated the Nobel Prize winner. The author of the novels the “Books of Jacob” and “Flights” is a graduate of the Faculty of Psychology, University of Warsaw.

On December 10 in Stockholm, Olga Tokarczuk received the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2018. The writer is considered one of the most outstanding representatives of modern literature in Poland and in the world. Her achievements include novels, essay collections, poetry and film scripts. For her work she has been honored with many awards, including The Man Booker International Prize 2018 for the novel “Bieguni” (Flights) and the “Nike” Literary Award for the novels: “Books of Jacob” and “Flights” (2008) (2015).

Anyone participating in the action shared the photos in the social media, tagging them with the name of the University profile and hashtags #UWgratulujeTokarczuk and #NoblistkajestzUW. The organizer of the campaign was the Warsaw University Press Office.
