Growing popularity of the Unified Anti-plagiarism System

15.03.2019

Since the beginning of 2019, over 40,000 diploma theses have already been tested in the Unified System (JSA).

JSA checks the similarity of the works to the texts and studies that were created earlier. It does not assess if the work is plagiarized, but it serves as a tool supporting the work of the promoter.

JSA users come from 216 universities. The largest number of works for the JSA analysis was delivered by users from the Poznan University of Technology, Rzeszów University of Technology, Warsaw University of Technology, Krakow University of Technology and Gdańsk University of Technology (from 1,000 to nearly 2,500 works per university).

JSA was developed at the Information Processing Center – National Research Institute at the request of the Ministry of Science. Pursuant to the amendment to the Act on Higher Education from January 1, 2019, each written dissertation before its admission must be checked in the JSA.
