Hydrogen-powered car from the Silesian University of Technology comes fourth at the Shell Eco-marathon in London

Students of the Silesian University of Technology designed a car that won the 4th place in London competition in the category of Urban Concept Hydrogen vehicles. This is the best result among all Polish teams participating in the competition.

The task of the teams taking part in the competition was to design the most efficient vehicles in terms of energy saving, and then to drive them as far as possible on one fuel unit. The car, constructed by the SmartPower team, was presented in the category of hydrogen-powered urban vehicles and resulted in o 117 km / m3 of hydrogen.

Shell Eco-marathon is one of the most prestigious professions for students of technical universities organized every year in America, Europe and Asia. Nearly 180 teams from 24 countries applied for this year’s edition – including 7 teams from Poland.
