Industrial Development Agency involved in space robotics

The Industrial Development Agency is engaging its capital in PIAP Space. According to the signed agreement, the IDA will subscribe a new issue of shares in the PIAP Space capital for over PLN 3 million. The Industrial Research Institute of Automation and Measurements PIAP belonging to the Łukasiewicz Research Network remains the majority shareholder.

The PIAP Institute is one of the market leaders in the field of robotics for the defense sector in Europe.

The involvement of ARP is a model example of cooperation between state institutions for the development of Polish technological solutions. The creation of PIAP Space allowed to develop a more active and commercial approach to the implemented projects.

Space robotics is one of the Polish technological niches and specializations on the space market – said Dariusz Śliwowski, vice president of the Industrial Development Agency.
