IUSER program supports Polish electric power industry

The National Center for Research and Development as part of the IUSER sector program co-finances innovations in the Polish power sector. The main objective of the IUSER program is to increase the international competitiveness of the sector of producers of intelligent devices and systems for generating energy as well as management of systems and elements of distributed energy.

The funded projects include, among others: a self-learning system that reduces energy consumption, an intelligent wind farm management system, water turbines in small hydropower plants and solar farms.

Bartosz Konopacki from the National Center for Research and Development explained that EU regulations stipulate Poland to implement new energy production technologies that are not based on coal. This year, the National Center for Research and Development has spent PLN 27 million on investments in research and development projects in the field of power engineering.
