Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce signs a contract with the Research Network Łukasiewicz

Jan Kochanowski University (UJK) in Kielce as the first university in Poland has signed a contract for scientific and research cooperation with the Research Network Łukasiewicz.

The Łukasiewicz Research Network was established on April 1. It consists of 38 institutes that are to commercialize the research in Poland. In Kielce, the agreement was signed by representatives of the Institute of Biopolymers and Chemical Fibers in Łódź and the Lodz Institute of Leather Industry.

– The University is a place where not only science is practiced in the fundamental area, but part of the research must be completed as industrial implementations – said Prof. Jacek Semaniak, rector of the Jan Kochanowski University.

Representatives of research institutes that will cooperate with UJK talked about specific projects. They presented as an example- the production of diabetic shoes that will be able to dose insulin.
