Krakow scientist receives the Dr Karol Jakubowicz award

Dr Agnieszka Walecka-Rynduch from the Pedagogical University (UP) in Krakow became this year’s laureate of the Dr Karol Jakubowicz Award, granted by the Polish Society of Social Communication.

This award is granted to the authors of outstanding scientific publications dealing with research on democracy, human rights, media policy, journalistic ethics and public media.

This year, the Dr Karol Jakubowicz Award was received by Dr Agnieszka Walecka-Rynduch from UP in Krakow, author of the monograph “MediaEgo in MediaPolis. Towards a new paradigm of political communication” for her research boldness in proving the emergence of a new paradigm of political communication, as well as for the high quality of the methodological workshop. This is the first publication in Polish literature devoted to MediaPolis in the context of political communication.

Dr Agnieszka Walecka-Rynduch works at the Department of Cultural Linguistics and Social Communication of the University of Life Sciences in Krakow. She manages a team of research on new media and journalism at the Media Research Center.
