Krakow University of Technology launches the Laboratory of Railway Traffic Engineering

24.01.2019

Krakow University of Technology officially opened Laboratory of Railway Traffic Engineering. The laboratory is equipped with a railway traffic simulator created at the Krakow University.

The laboratory consists of 12 computers, which reflect the work of the traffic dispatchers in one net. The assumptions and functionality of the model system are similar to solutions used in the process of training of on-duty traffic officers.

Work on the preparation of the Railway Traffic Engineering Laboratory has been continued at the Krakow university since 2014. The project was awarded by the Office of Rail Transport in last year’s competition “Culture of safety in rail transport”.
