27.02.2019

In April 2019, the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków will complete the project “European Technical Heritage” (EDT), implemented for three years by the Library of the Krakow University of Technology. Its purpose is to popularize historical and contemporary publications in the field of technical sciences in an innovative IT environment.

The effect of the project is the digitalization of over 6,000 volumes of books and magazines that have not been processed in other scientific institutions before and have not been available on-line. The Library of the Krakow University of Technology has selected a collection of publications on Lvov and works published there before 1945 and a collection of prints published between the 16th and 20th centuries. Also, the Main Library of the AGH University of Science and Technology chose a collection of periodicals from the 19th and 20th centuries to be digitalized.

The collections popularized by the EDT project will serve to popularize knowledge in the field of technical sciences, natural sciences, architecture, art, history, cultural studies, library science and bibliophilia.
