Leading Research Teams of the University of Life Sciences in Wrocław receive Horizon 2020 grants

Two cooperating Leading Research Teams of the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences, WCE and SpaceOS, have become a partner of the European project WATERAGRI. The project is researching new ways of managing water in agriculture and can improve plant production.

23 partners from 12 European countries are involved in the WATERAGRI project ‘Water retention and nutrient recycling in soils and streams for improved agricultural production’ including universities, institutes, research centers and entrepreneurs providing innovative technologies.

Consortium members are to find new opportunities for water resource management in small agricultural catchments that will improve agricultural production and the condition of local ecosystems. The project leader is Lund University from Sweden, and the budget under the Horizon 2020 program is EUR 7 million, of which PLN 286,000. is received by Wroclaw university.
