Researchers from the Nicolaus Copernicus University together with the City Hall in Toruń created the “Lexicon of the contemporary city”. The publication contains the entries corresponding to the concept of a modern city and was created as part of the Gen-Y City project.
The list of entries in the lexicon gives an overview of many important topics covering a variety of issues – from architecture, through urban planning and bioecology to smart solutions used in cities.
The publication was developed by the employees of the department of urban studies and regional development at the University: Dr Stefania Środa-Murawska, Dr Elżbieta Grzelak-Kostulska, Dr. Jadwiga Biegańska, Dr Justyna Chodkowska-Miszczuk, Dr. Eng. Krzysztof Rogatka and a student of tourism and recreation – Leszek Dąbrowski.
The purpose of the Gen-Y City project is to support the development of creative industries and innovative enterprises. The leader of the Gen Y City network is a city of Poznań.
