21.01.2019

Professor Hakim S. Abdelgader, graduate of the Gdańsk University of Technology, a researcher at the University of Tripoli in Libya wants to revive the academic exchange between the university and the Libyan universities, difficult due to the policy of this country.

– The Libyan Ministry of Education has ordered that students wishing to study abroad can do so only at one of three hundred universities around the world. The list prepared by the department includes universities in Warsaw and Krakow, but I do not understand why there is no Gdańsk University of Technology between them – says a Libyan scientist.

Professor Abdelgader in 2007, at the request of the rector of the University of Tripoli, signed a cooperation agreement between the university and the Gdańsk University of Technology and would like to renew it with the participation of the current rector of the Gdańsk university and the ministries of education.
