Łódź students win the Polish eliminations of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition

Students of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Lodz (WPiA UŁ) won the national eliminations of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition for the third time in a row. They will perform in the world final of the competition, which will be held in Washington, in April 2019.

The winning team was composed of Monika Danilczuk, Franciszek Jędras, Alicja Ozimek, Agata Szczepańska and Jakub Wojtasik. The tutors of the students are Dr Joanna Połatyńska and Dr Marek Wasiński from the Department of International Law and International Relations, University of Law and Administration.

The competition involves the simulation of a trial (moot court) before the International Court of Justice. Students take the roles of process representatives of two fictitious states. Each dissertation is a separate “match” and the winner advances to the next round.
