Lublin University to hold a conference on archaeological research in Poland, Belarus and Ukraine

The international conference entitled “Archaeological research in Central and Eastern Poland, Western Belarus and Ukraine in 2017” will take place on April 26-27 at the Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin – informs Aneta Adamska, a spokesman of the Lublin university.

The conference is organized by the Institute of Archeology of the Maria Curie Skłodowska University and the Lublin Museum. It is a forum for the exchange of ideas and experiences of archaeologists and specialists from other fields of science from Poland, Belarus, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine. During the event, the latest results of archaeological research will be presented. This year, 4 lectures and 42 papers in two sections (prehistoric and early-historical) will be delivered in the plenary session. Participants will discuss prehistoric settlements in Lublin-Zemborzyce, flint materials at the cemetery of the Lusatian culture in Radom-Wośniki or new discoveries of underwater archeology in Polesie Voivodship.

The opening of the meeting will take place on April 26 at 9.30 at the Gallery of Polish Painting of the XVII-XIX centuries of the Lublin Museum.
