16.10.2019

The Maria Curie Skłodowska University (UMCS) in Lublin and company Billennium-  an IT company operating in several Polish cities are developing a diagnostic system that can help detect cancer.

The system will use modern brain imaging techniques and “deep learning” methods that are used to create artificial intelligence. This solution is to serve for faster and more accurate location of brain tumors in the first stages of the development of the disease.

In addition to academic staff, also students will work on the system. They will be able to use the effects of their work in their diploma theses.
