Medals for Toruń scientists at the fair in Japan

The scientists from the Nicolaus Copernicus University have won prizes at the JIDE International Design and Innovation Fair in Japan (Japan Design & Invention Expo – JIDE 2018).

The Gold Medal of the Fair was given to the scholars of the Faculty of Medicine at Collegium Medicum: Dr Maciej Gagat, Dr Dariusz Grzanka and Prof. Alina Grzanka – the authors of the invention “Intravascular stent with properties that accelerate the healing of the implant site and reduce the occurrence of thrombosis”.

The silver medal and the special prize – the medal from the Macau Association of Innovators were received by Michał Meina from the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Applied Computer Science, Dr Krzysztof Rykaczewski from the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of the Nicolaus Copernicus University for “The method of determining the position of the object, in particular of man, and the device for determining the position of man”.
