Medical University in Wrocław receives over PLN 6.6 million for scientific and research projects

The Medical University of Wroclaw obtained financial resources for the implementation of two scientific and research projects from the funds of the National Center for Research and Development under the competition “Lower Silesian Zone of Biomedical Technologies” (OP Intelligent Development).

Co-financing was obtained for the project “Bio-nanosatellite using miniaturized lab-on-chip instruments and methodology for conducting bio-medical research using it in microgravity conditions” by a consortium including: SatRevolution SA, Wrocław University of Science and Technology, Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences and the Institute of Immunology and Experimental Therapy Polish Academy of Sciences. Its total value is almost PLN 4 million.

The second project is “Developing a method for obtaining and isolating mesenchymatic stromal cells (MSCs) from teeth for the regeneration of bone defects in dentistry”. The money is received by University and the Dental Center for Technology Transfer. The value of this project is almost PLN 2.7 million.
