Medical University of Silesia to train doctors using medical simulation techniques

The Medical University of Silesia will receive almost PLN 10 million for postgraduate education of doctors using medical simulation techniques. As part of the project, in 2019-2022 1622 people will be trained. The aim of the project is to develop professional skills and qualifications of doctors and resident doctors by organizing trainings that include maps of health needs.

The courses will include virtual simulation of laparoscopic techniques in pediatric surgery, enhancing practical skills in minimally invasive surgical techniques; course of virtual simulation of thoracoscopic techniques in thoracic surgery containing the science of manipulation, transfer, capture and preparation of tissues and a course of functional diagnosis of the bone-joint and muscular system with the use of modern technical solutions – with particular emphasis on the age of specialist doctors in medical rehabilitation.
