National Science Center announces three competitions

The National Science Center (NCN) has announced the next OPUS and PRELUDIUM competitions, as well as the POLS competition, financed from Norwegian funds, for foreign scientists.

POLS is a competition under the “Research” program financed from Norwegian and EEA funds for 2014-2021. Its purpose is to support the mobility of scientists, and it is addressed to foreign researchers who plan to carry out their research in Poland.

NCN is an operator of the part of the program devoted to basic research. Scientists can apply for project funding ranging from 100,000 to 200,000 euro.

OPUS competition is addressed to scientists of all levels of their scientific careers. There is no minimum or maximum project budget in this competition, and the budget for the entire competition is as much as PLN 450 million.

The PRELUDIUM competition is addressed to persons without doctoral titles. The subject of the project can be related to the subject of the planned doctoral dissertation and the researches can last 12, 24 or 36 months. Depending on the duration of the project, the funding will amount to 70, 140 or 210 thousand PLN.
