National Science Center signs the S Plan

06.09.2018

From January 1, 2020, researchers carrying out grants, which are financed by national agencies, will have the obligation to publish the results of their work in scientific journals with open and free access. These are the assumptions of the so-called S-Plan signed by the National Science Center.

The preamble to the document “Coalition S for the implementation of full and immediate open access” includes assumption that “no science should be closed behind paid barriers”.

The signatories of Plan S are agencies financing research from Austria, France, Ireland, the Netherlands, Italy, Luxembourg, Norway, Slovenia, Sweden, Great Britain and Poland. Providing full and open access to the science is also supported by the European Research Council.
