National Science Center to offer nearly PLN 668 million for projects under OPUS, PRELUDIUM and SONATA

The National Science Center (NCN) decided, that 809 projects will receive co-financing worth almost PLN 668 million in the competitions: OPUS, PRELUDIUM and SONATA. For the first time NCN has launched the PRELUDIUM BIS competition addressed to PhD students.

The aim of the PRELUDIUM BIS competition is to support the education of doctoral students by financing scholarships and research projects carried out by beginning researchers as part of doctoral researches, as well as foreign internships lasting from 3 to 6 months, aimed at supporting the mobility of young researchers.

The OPUS competition is addressed to a wide audience. There are no restrictions on the stage of scientific career or necessary experience to achieve the financing.
Under the PRELUDIUM competition, funds for research may be applied by persons who do not yet have a doctoral title and the subject of their project does not have to be related to the subject of their doctoral dissertations.

The addressees of the SONATA competition are researchers with a doctoral title obtained from 2 to 7 years before the year of submitting the application.
