Olsztyn’s students dominated in the European Sensing Competition EUROPEL

Students of the Faculty of Food Sciences at the University of Warmia and Mazury (UWM) in Olsztyn won 12 awards in the 21st European Sensory Contest EUROPEL held in Poligny (France).

The competition was attended by 60 students from 6 countries: France, Italy, Finland, the Netherlands, the United States and Poland. University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn sent two three-man teams.

– In total, we have won 12 awards – including 6 individual and 6 group ones. We turned out to be the best in university and in the team categories – said one of the award-winning students Arkadiusz Rosiak. The first individual awards were also received by Dominika Dobrzycka and Arkadiusz Rosiak. The competition consisted of sensory evaluation of products – milk, butter and cheeses: comté, camembert and morbier – adds Dominika Dobrzycka.
She emphasized that a great victory reflects the high quality of education at the Faculty of Food Science at UWM.
