On January 16, the Library of the University of Opole is inviting participants to workshops on safe scientific publication and intellectual property protection law. Training participants will acquire knowledge and skills for the successful scientific publishing. They will learn about the risks of sending scientific articles to the so-called Predatory Journals.
The workshops will be valuable both for authors who write their first scientific articles and want to avoid publishing traps, as well as for people with significant scientific achievements who want to ensure safe and effective access to their achievements.
The workshop will also include the issues of intellectual property protection, the university copyright to its publications, the questions when and how these rights can be transferred to other persons, on under what terms scholars can use publications within the limits of fair use and what are free Creative Commons licenses.
