Patent for the use of waste CRT glass plates

Employees of the Ceramics and Concrete Department of the Institute of Ceramics and Building Materials in Warsaw obtained patent for the invention: “The method of production of glass cladding or façade claddings from waste CRT glass and glass plate with CRT”.

The production of plates according to the patented invention enables to obtain glass plates from the wasted CRT glass and a small amount of generally available inorganic materials.

The invention has been submitted to the European Patent Office for protection in other European countries, and its worth is also evidenced by the interest of ceramic tile manufacturers intending to use it for the production of glass tiles on an industrial scale.
