PhD student of the University of Life Sciences in Poznan becomes finalist of the Science Promoter competition

Mateusz Kęsy – PhD student at the Department of Insects Breeding of the Institute of Zoology at the University of Life Sciences in Poznań became a finalist of the 14th Science Promoter contest. The young scientist will compete for the victory in the Animator category.

Mateusz Kęsy popularizes knowledge related to zoology and protection of the natural environment among children and adults. He conducts scientific workshops in kindergartens and schools, open lectures and classes with students. During many journeys around the world, he gains nature collections, which he then uses during scientific workshops.

He is the author of many publications on nature conservation, participant and co-organizer of scientific conferences in Poland and abroad. He was a scholarship holder of programs for young scientists and a finalist of numerous competitions. He was awarded many times for scientific and educational activities.

The final of the competition is organized by the Science in Poland service and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and will take place in January.
