PhD student of the University of Silesia becomes the winner of the “Student-Inventor” competition

Michał Pielka, PhD student at the Faculty of Computer Science and Materials Science at the University of Silesia, was the winner of the “Student-Inventor” competition organized by the Kielce University of Technology. 139 proposals from 20 universities from all over Poland were submitted to this year’s competition.

The awarded invention is a system for monitoring locomotor functions of the organism, respiratory activities and pulse together with related solutions of 2 patented inventions and 2 industrial designs. One of the solutions is a developed method of data transmission that allows to send more information and simplify the procedure for their receipt.

The winners will present their solutions in Switzerland during the 47th International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva, they will also take part in accompanying seminars organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization and the European Organization for Nuclear Research.
