Polish Academy of Sciences to hold symposium “Knowledge Frontiers Symposium on Just Transitions” in autumn in Warsaw

The Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) and the British Academy are accepting applications for the “Knowledge Frontiers Symposium on Just Transitions” symposium, organized in autumn 2020 in Warsaw, until May 13, 2020.

It is an offer addressed to scientists employed in research units in Great Britain or Poland who have had a PhD title for no longer than 7 years.

The themes of the meeting will include transformations in politics, economy and technology, which at the same time will be solidary and fair in the social issues. They are referred to as just transitions in regarding to climate issues. The aim of the project is to support long-term cooperation between participants. The British Academy is offering a possibility of applying for research funding (seed funding).

“Knowledge Frontiers Symposium on Just Transitions” will be held on October 16-17, 2020 in the Staszic Palace, seat of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The organizers are planning that about 30 young scientists from both countries will take part in it.
