Polish Map of Research Infrastructure

70 research centers were included into the Polish Map of Research Infrastructure (PMIB) approved by the Minister of Science and Higher Education. More than 145 initiatives applied for PMIB.

From June 4 to July 8, 2019, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education received applications to join the strategic research infrastructure on the Polish Map of Research Infrastructure.

Ultimately, the list included 70 infrastructures with the highest potential of scientific excellence, consolidating research potential in fields important for the development of science and the country.

They were divided according to six research areas: technical sciences and energy (14), Earth and environment sciences (5), biological and medical sciences (16), physical and engineering sciences (23), social sciences and humanities (6), digital research infrastructures (6).
The most projects at the PMIB were submitted by: National Center for Nuclear Research in Otwock-Świerk (7), Henryk Niewodniczański Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Krakow (6) and the Jagiellonian University (5).
