12.12.2018

Engineers from the SpaceForest company are working on a suborbital project of SIR (Suborbital Inexpensive Rocket) rockets. Their rocket Perun will compete with other rockets of this type.

The Perun is designed and developed by SpaceForest as part of a project co-financed by the National Center for Research and Development. The aim of the project is to create the first Polish rocket capable of 50 kg of cargo to the altitude of 150 km. The launch of a full-size rocket model is planned for the fourth quarter of 2019, while the ready rocket is to be launched in 2022.

According to the president of Space Forest – Robert Magiera – Perun will be able to offer a profitable platform for research in the microgravity environment and can become an attractive commercial choice for clients on the Polish and foreign markets, offering the lowest prices for such services in the world.
